Suggestions?

So I have very little today, and that's actually what I want to write about. I feel like no one really wants to read about my day to day activities but then it also seems like when I blog about politics or economics I can hear crickets chirping in the comments section. So, anyone got any suggestions for me on things I should blog about? Mainly I'm looking for things that I can express an opinion on (e.g. not "I've always wondered how maple syrup gets made. Can you explain that to me?"). And even if you don't have an idea for a topic, it'd be nice to know what kind of topics you've liked most/least that I've written about. Right now my only gauge for the interest level is the comments, but I also realize that's not always a good indicator. Should I just do political or economic posts? Should I axe both of them completely and just do humorous ones? Should I accept that no one cares about my thoughts and just post pictures of Anabelle? Any and all suggestions and comments are welcome. I've been pretty much meandering my way through this blog for the past couple years now writing about whatever I felt like, and I'd like to start to get a little more dialed in.

I also have become more open to the idea of having additional guest contributors, so if any of you are interested in writing something for me to post, please let me know.

It depends on what you want to accomplish with your blog. If you want to increase hits and get your blog to the point that it is generating significant income every month, I would recommend posting erotic photographs of yourself accompanied by erotic haikus.
If you don't see your blog in that light and just want to do this for fun, I would still encourage you to post erotic photographs, haikus, and short stories.

"I've always wondered how maple syrup gets made. Can you explain that to me?"

Ha. That was totally directed at me. Oof.

I like your humorous posts, especially the ones that are grounded in your own personal musings about life's ups and downs and your changing priorities and goals. The one about Anabelle crying was a favorite.

I try to read the economic stuff, and I like that you try to explain things, but sometimes I just get lost. I'm good at math but always found econ to be somehow infinitely harder to pin down.

You say you're working on a novel, and I know you've dabbled in screenwriting.... Would you ever want to post short stories? You haven't really published any fiction on here that I'm aware of. I'd be into that as well. Or, interviews/recaps of interesting conversation with people.

And P.S. I think I did research about how maple syrup gets made, actually. And I know quite a lot about how rubber is made as well. Fact-checking at my last job. :)

This is how you make Maple Syrup

I like blogs where I can fight with people. Especially Mike.

I would like a humorous article on the ways dads can keep their newborn baby girls from becoming strippers.

I would NOT like erotic photos. Although erotic haikus are fine.

I would like the real method for maple syrup production.

I would like your take on political retribution within an official's own party due to bipartisanship and what we can do to prevent it (eg: Susan Collins -R- Maine)

Thanks for the links, Weir. And thanks to Wikipedia I am now pleasantly filled up with knowledge. Yay.

I vote for 100% Anabelle all the time. Speaking of that, can you share Christy's blog so I can stalk your baby there? ; )

Hi Katie! My blog is christydelaney.blogspot.com I pretty much only ever post about Anabelle, so it's a pretty good place for baby stalking :)
